Mapping Geolocation With Latitude & Longitude
The Advanced Mapping Geolocation question type allows your respondents to place markers on a map at a
specific location.
With the Mapping Geolocation question type you can manually centre the map for your respondents by using
Latitude and Longitude values.
You can use the following steps to set this up for your Mapping Geolocation question:
- In your chosen survey, navigate to Design -> Content and choose Advanced
-> Mapping Geolocation.
- We can now configure our Mapping Geolocation settings. Scroll down to the Map Geolocation
Validation heading. Here you can set the minimum/maximum number of markers
that respondents can place on onto the map.
- Below the validation options, you will find the heading Map Geolocation Options. Here
you wiil be able to set paramenters such as the Map Zoom Level and Default Map Center. You can get the
Latitude and Longitude from a Google Maps Url, for example in the Google Maps URL for the Queen Victoria
Building below contains the Latitude and Longitude highlighted within the URL.
Once you have set your desired Latitude, Longitude and Map Zoom Level, your map will now default to the specific
location you have chosen. The amount of pins that can be placed onto the map will be validated according to your
Map Geolocation Validation preferences.
